The first teaching hospital in Nigeria is UCH (university college hospital) of the prestigious University of Ibadan which was formerly University college, hence the name of its hospital.the hospital was the first institution in Nigeria to produce sterile products use for her patients as far back as 1952.The teaching hospital pioneered out open heart surgeries amongst all of it's other achievements.
